Evelyn is a registered teacher, accredited professional learning and development provider, and training facilitator of teachers, principals, boards of trustees, and community groups. She is a pioneer and advocate of kōhanga reo, kura kaupapa, wharekura and wānanga initiatives and has educational expertise that highlights te reo, tikanga, mātauranga and āhuatanga Māori. Evelyn joined Te Rōpū Pūkenga in 2020 and contributes a passion that spans the range of narrative arts. Evelyn is also a leading governance member and adviser in the nation’s institutions of Tūao Aotearoa, Te Puna Mātauranga, Te Rua Mahara, Ngā Taonga Sound and Vision, and Mana Tohu Mātauranga.
